Claire Spofford

President, Cornerstone

Claire Spofford became president, Cornerstone in December 2017. In this role, she oversees four interactive, aspirational, home and apparel lifestyle brands, including Frontgate, Ballard Designs, Garnet Hill and Grandin Road. She also serves as president of Garnet Hill, ensuring this brand has the strategic direction for future profitability and growth. She became president of Garnet Hill in 2014.

Over the past 20 years, Claire has had extensive experience in leadership roles with mature/profitable brands, turnaround brands as well as new business launches. Claire excels at leading and developing diverse teams to deliver superior operating results.

Claire’s management experience in the retail industry includes leadership roles at Timberland, Orchard Brands, and J. Jill Group. Before joining Garnet Hill she was Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at J. Jill Group, where she successfully led the company’s direct marketing business, including web, catalog, customer relationship management, and contact center.

Claire earned her bachelor’s degree in English and political science from the University of Vermont and has an MBA in marketing from Babson College.
